Suspended for blogging

In response to the Perspectives column written by Rep. John Conyers, "Bloggers have rights too":

I completely agree with John Conyers' article. Recently, there was a big stir-up when two juniors were expelled from Gresham High School and several others got suspended for a blog that was posted on MySpace.

Aside from the administration, I haven't heard anyone say this is a just or right thing to do. Many were wondering if it is even legal. These blogs weren't written during school time or on school property. It's almost like going into someone's house and convicting them by what they have in their private journal.
