Sun Microsystems has promoted two employees to executive vice president following Marissa Peterson's decision to step down as executive vice president of services and worldwide operations. Don Grantham, 48, will lead Sun services, while Eugene McCabe, 52, will lead worldwide operations, Sun said on Tuesday.
Both will report to President Jonathan Schwartz, as will Peterson while she works on a special project through the end of the year, Sun said last week. After that, Peterson plans to leave the server and software company.
