Read in-btwn the lines "power" vs. "energy"
Notice how the discussion is on "power" not energy. How many kWhrs should be the concern not simply the kW. So if you're comfortable not delivering to your ServiceLevelAgreements (SLA) and don't mind only capable of servicing 1/2 the customers you target...go ahead. Then again, as a Datacenter manager, you can always just buy more machines, but, will waste more energy supporting all that hardware.

Where the Hell is Shankland?
A very short Reuter's story? It does not even have the model names of the servers. ***?

The Register, eWeek, Computerworld, InformationWeek, InternetNews, and IT Jungle are all on the story.

Is Shankland on vacation?
