SuSE offers Japanese Linux

German Linux seller SuSE has made a Japanese version of its new version 7.1 of the operating system available for download, the company said. In addition to the usual features of version 7.1, such as the ResierFS files system and the 2.4 Linux kernel, the Japanese edition includes Japanese fonts, a Japanese-English translation dictionary, and a typesetting system for publishing Japanese documents.

SuSE offers its software for use on Intel's current 32-bit and coming 64-bit chips, Compaq's Alpha chip, Sun Microsystems' UltraSparc chip, and IBM's mainframes.
