ClearSpeed, a company developing a plug-in card to accelerate some computer calculations, has named John Gustafson its chief technology officer of high-performance computing.
At Sun, Gustafson was principal investigator for the company's High Productivity Computing Systems program and worked on the company's proximity interconnect-based work for a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency supercomputing project.
