Sony tunes into MusicMatch

MusicMatch, which makes programs for creating and organizing digital music, says it has inked a deal to distribute its jukebox with Sony-branded CD-R/RW drives. The software will let people play, organize and burn music CDs. MusicMatch added that it has surpassed 20 million registered users worldwide.

In February, the San Diego-based company released the final version of its jukebox software for Linux. The company is also testing a music subscription service that offers customized playlists and eliminates advertising, interruptions or buffering.
