The poor suckers that went ahead and bought one based on the head of Sony saying that they would not cut prices only to have the price cut by $100 shows that Sony will shaft their customers so why should anyone risk buying another one? They shouldn't.
Sony gets to get the thing priced and it needs to stay that way. Stop messing around with it. If you over priced it (which they did, even though they loose money with each one) then they need to get the price to the lowest they will go and then just suck up the fact that the PS3 isn't going to be popular and that Blue-Ray isn't really something that most people are willing to get shafted over. People want a game machine not a movie playback device.

Hopefully, the news that more publishers and developers are putting more resources to Wii games and the number of exclusive content on 360 and Wii outnumbering PS3 will kicked common sense back in again.
I loved the PS1 and PS2,as it is i own more sony system games than any other but sony has in my opinion LOST IT,when will they figure it out that we do not want to be forced to buy a PS3 loaded with high end components that simply were not justified, the blueray aspect should have been handled as an add on for those that wanted it and not FORCED on us consumers as part of the whole package.
I will NOT buy a PS3 until the price drops to $250 or less as that is the most i will EVER pay for a game console,as for blueray if i ever want blueray i will buy a blueray player as a stand alone device for the sole purpose of playing movies and not a 2 in 1 wonder machine.
The hype has died and we are all wide awake and most of us are not happy with what sony has served up.
