Sony puts 7.2 megapixels in consumer camera

Sony will release a pocket-sized 7.2 megapixel camera in September, the company said this week. The Cyber Shot DSC-150 measures an inch thick and will fit in a pocket. Though professional-level digital cameras can feature 8 megapixels, consumer models generally top out at 5 megapixels. Sony claims the DSC-150 will be the first of its category to hit the 7.2 megapixel level. It will cost under $500.
