That's the best they can do
Wow, French marketing firms sure have gone down in creativity. Now the best ads they can create have vulgar nudity or this sort of controversy for its own sake. I can see how a 12 year old could have come up with poking fun at the movie passion or the last supper. What's next creative geniuses? An upside down cross?

They thinks this irks Catholics? Try running this in the US outside NY/LA, especially in the South.

A basic advertising rule....
... avoid caricatures of religious beliefs, they cause nothing but
headaches. Now, you may not be able to avoid them all, there is
always some near invisible sect that has concepts most people have
never heard of. But the mainstream religious are clearly to be left
alone, no matter how 'cute' some dim-bulb ad man may think an
idea is.

I wonder what minimal IQ level is required before this rule becomes
obvious?
