Sonicblue releases low-priced MP3 player

Sonicblue released on Wednesday the Rio One, a $99 MP3 player. The Rio One resembles the company's popular Rio 300 and comes with 32MB of built-in memory and a USB connector. The unit, which can play an hour's worth of music, can use Smart Media flash memory cards to play up to five hours of music. The Rio One is available on Sonicblue's Web site and will show up in retail stores within the next two weeks.

The Rio One is the first MP3 player from Sonicblue to use a digital signal processor from Texas Instruments.
