Sonicblue CFO steps down

Consumer-electronics maker Sonicblue announced Friday that Chief Financial Officer David Sugishita is leaving the company to pursue other interests. The company said in a release that the move was mutually agreed upon and is effective immediately. Sugishita had been with the company for less than two months. Former CFO and current Chief Operating Officer John Todd will again assume the role of CFO on an interim basis.

The announcement of Sugishita's leaving comes shortly after the company exceeded analysts' revenue estimates for its fiscal fourth quarter by $21 million to $23 million. Despite those results, the company's stock has declined slightly since it announced its fourth-quarter results.
