"Spotty shortages abound for Apple ..."

"Spotty" and "abound" contradict one another. The actual quote
from the story said, "Outages are spotty". In other words, there
were some, but not widespread. CNET editors come along and
turn this into "shortages abound for Apple." And some people
wonder why some of us see bias at CNET against Apple. I know
there is an urge to "spice up" a story, but please, just report the
news, don't shape it.
