Software connects from Remotely Anywhere

Software maker Remotely Anywhere has launched LogMeIn, a product for remotely accessing business and home PCs. The company says the software lets people connect to a Windows-based computer via a secure connection over the Internet from a desktop, laptop or handheld system running Windows, Linux or the MacOS.

The software secures connections using Windows authentication, 128 to 256-bit encryption, and included security software that allows for Internet Protocol filtering, lockout and intrusion detection, according to the company. LogMeIn is sold on a subscription basis. Access to any two computers costs $19.95 per month, or $99.95 per year.
