Why is the Slingbox getting so much buzz?
Maybe the concept is intriguing but every demo I've seen of the slingbox has abysmal picture quality.

Are there enough people willing to live with choppy, low quality video or is slingbox merely a media darling?

Sorta like TiVO vs Replay
Replay had many more features all along that TiVo kept copying a year or so behind, yet all the press was on the 'new' things that TiVo added. They loved the cutesie interface and hyped it since 1999 ignoring the other systems.

Would be awesome for Soldiers
One thing I hated about being in Kuwait during the Superbowl was not getting to see commercials. Would it be possible to record this on one Slingbox and e-mail it to someone else with a Slingbox? If so, the soldiers could see the Superbowl commercials within hours of watching the Superbowl.
