Slashdot dips into politics

Slashdot announced Tuesday that it added a political section to its news and discussion site. The "Politics for Nerds: Your Vote Matters" section features real-time, alternative political articles and news, as well as a reader forum for discussion and debate.

The new political section recently included a lengthy interview with Michael Badnarik, the Libertarian Party candidate, and David Cobb, the Green Party candidate.

Slashdot promotes both views.

The problem is that those two views are.

#1. Anyone but Bush
#2. We hate Bush

Too bad the politics section doesn't cover European politics which are far more interesting that the US campaign. However the /. moderation system is heavily abused and unless outright guilting mods in your postings anyone espousing a conservative view (except if you class your views as libertarian) has their karma destroyed by hate powered liberal minded mods.
