Some online banking customers of financial services company Wells Fargo ran into trouble accessing the Web site or encountered longer-than-normal response times for a few hours on Tuesday because of a "routine systems upgrade," a company spokeswoman said. The system went down earlier in the morning, the spokeswoman said, though she could not give a specific time. It was back up and running before 2 p.m. PDT.
During the outage, the San Francisco-based company--whose Web site won best-of honors from Forbes magazine in 2003--advised users to try the site again later or to call a toll-free customer service number for assistance.

Truth is...the system has been down since Saturday...early Sunday! Only a portion of customers are able to function as normal as for others such as myself - I still can't access my account, my balance is the same from Friday and my direct deposit STILL hasn't posted.
Also...this was a company wide issue that also effected the private banking sectors and brokerage departments. It was company wide...not just an online thing.
How do I know??? I used to work there...and still have inside sources.
