Short Take: Yahoo expands shopping internationally

Web portal Yahoo said its has expanded its shopping services to its international sites. The company said its sites serving the United Kingdom and Ireland, France, Germany, Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand will begin using its Yahoo Shopping service. It will also extend its Yahoo Auctions service to sixteen countries and eleven languages. The announcement comes after Yahoo reported an almost fivefold jump in the number of orders on its service during the Christmas season from last year.
