Internet service provider Verio, which
targets business and institutional customers, has expanded in the Northeast
by acquiring Pennsylvania-based PREPnet.
Separately, Verio's Texas-based affiliate, OnRamp Technologies, has acquired Sesquinet, an ISP formerly operated by Rice
University. Terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.
