Short Take: Symantec acquires Ghost for $27.5 million

Symantec purchased the assets of Binary Research Limited, the Auckland, New Zealand, company that developed Ghost, a disk-cloning program. The $27.5 million acquisition provides Symantec with a software tool for configuring multiple PCs according to the same specifications. Symantec plans to incorporate Ghost into upcoming versions of its popular Norton Utilities.
