Short Take: Stanford to offer engineering online master's degree program

Stanford University this fall is offering its first degree program held entirely online. The School of Engineering is expecting to sign up about 50 part-time students for its online master's degree program in electrical engineering. The program will cost "considerably more" than standard tuition, the university said. It will utilize audio and video streaming, electronic distribution of notes, interaction between students and instructors, and online posting of homework and exams.
