Short Take: Software.net Changes Name to Beyond.com

Internet software superstore Software.net has changed its name to "Beyond.com," enhanced its Web site, and created a national advertising campaign to promote its new brand. The ad campaign, to be launched on August 24, is aimed at transforming the new brand into a household name with online shoppers.
