Siebel Systems has agreed to buy Scopus Technology in a $461 million stock deal, creating the largest vendor for sales management and customer service software, according to Reuters. Siebel's software helps sales teams track clients and manage projects; Scopus develops customer service programs and handles troubleshooting requests. The companies expect to combine product lines and technology within a year.
