Short Take: San Jose Mercury News launches SiliconValley.com

The San Jose Mercury News has officially launched its online destination for news from Silicon Valley at SiliconValley.com. Aimed at "a global readership seeking the latest in business developments and technology trends," the site combines the newspaper's reporting with additional features such as a searchable database of information on over 150 Silicon Valley companies. As previously reported, the site has been in public beta since the beginning of February.
