Short Take: Priceline expands hotel room choices

Priceline, which allows consumers to name their own price for airline tickets, hotel rooms, and other goods and services, has expanded its network to include 4,250 hotels in 1,100 towns and cities in all 50 U.S. states. According to Priceline, which uses its "demand collection system" to match customers with available inventory, 32 percent of all hotel rooms go unsold.
