Short Take: Pokey causes Net trademark uproar

The Prema Toy Company, which owns the trademarks on the claymation character Gumby and his horse Pokey, is not in a playful mood when it comes to others using the name "Pokey" in domains. It is in trademark disputes with both Pokey's Network Consulting, which is using "www.pokey.com," and 12-year-old Web designer Chris Van Allen's Pokey.org.
