Short Take: PlanetOut lands $10 million in funding

Gay and lesbian Internet media company PlanetOut says it has raised $10 million in its third round of funding. Investors include America Online, BMG Entertainment, Creative Artists Agency, Esther Dyson's Edventure Holdings and Mayfield Fund. Private investors included RealNetworks chief executive Rob Glaser; Nicholas Negroponte, director of the MIT Media Lab; and Marcy Swenson, co-founder of Critical Path.
