Short Take: Novell releases new developer's kit

Novell released a new developer's kit intended to provide hooks between its NetWare operating system, Novell Directory Services (NDS), and ManageWise administration tools and the Java programming language. The Novell Developer Kit represents the company's latest move to spur developer interest in its software and so-called Open Solutions Architecture and also could give the server-based Java movement a boost. The new kit, which includes the Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.2, is available for free to members of Novell's developer program, called DeveloperNet.
