Short Take: Network Associates unveils McAfee GroupShield

Security and software management firm Networks Associates unveiled McAfee GroupShield for Lotus Notes 4.5 and 5 today. GroupShield provides users of the latest releases of the Lotus groupware product with anti-virus protection. GroupShield software also incorporates NetworkAssociates VirusLogic detection technology for detecting viruses and removing viruses from software. Available in December of 1999, pricing for the new antivirus technology is $24 per node for over 5,000 nodes for a two-year subscription.
