Short Take: Level 3, Rhythms enter co-marketing pact

Level 3 Communications, a long-haul communications company primarily serving businesses, and Rhythms NetConnections, a provider of high-speed digital subscriber lines, signed a deal under which both companies will market services to their combined customer base. The two companies will connect their networks. Level 3 offers long-haul and local services in 27 markets while Rhythms offers DSL in 40 markets. The agreement is strictly a marketing alliance, not a resale deal.
