Short Take: Infogrames acquires Hasbro Interactive

French computer- and video-game publisher Infogrames announced Wednesday it has acquired Hasbro Interactive, a division of the U.S. toymaker. Infogrames is buying the division for $5 million in cash and $95 million worth of its stock. The deal includes software and online versions of Hasbro board games such as Scrabble and Battleship, along with Hasbro's Microprose subsidiary, which publishes popular PC games such as "Civilization" and "Roller Coaster Tycoon." Infogrames is known for computer games such as "Alone In The Dark" and "Oddworld."
