Short Take: Gateway announces new management appointments

PC direct marketer Gateway 2000 announced new appointments to its senior management team: Robert M. Spears has been named senior vice president of Gateway major accounts; Robert J. Cheng will be senior vice president of Gateway direct; Joseph Burke will be senior vice president for global business development; Paul Rostron will be vice president for global organization development; and Michael D. Hammond will be senior vice president of global manufacturing. (Hammond co-founded Gateway 2000 in 1985 with Ted Waitt.)
