Short Take: Europeans close Network Solutions probe

The world's largest domain name seller, Network Solutions (NSI), announced that the European Commission has closed its antitrust investigation into the company's practices in Europe. Specifically, the commission was looking into NSI's "Premier Program," in which Net service providers and other companies take orders for Net names and pass them on to NSI. The commission also reviewed NSI's agreements with newly accredited registrars of ".com," ".net" and ".org" domains.
