Short Take: Cisco introduces new switching devices

Cisco Systems rolled out five new switching devices targeted at workgroup-sized networks, further expanding its presence into the low-end market. The new models include support for new technology and network uplinks, such as Gigabit Ethernet and asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), with prices starting at about $105 per port. The new models are available now, with modules rolling out through April of this year.
