Short Take: Caldera names Linux management software

Caldera Systems has named its Linux management software Volution, the company said today. The software, announced in August and code-named Cosmos, has been in beta testing since October. The software is designed to make it easier to manage large numbers of Linux computers but will be extended so it can control computers with Santa Cruz Operations' UnixWare and OpenServer versions of Unix, which Caldera is acquiring.
