Short Take: Amazon opens new Atlanta distribution center

Amazon is opening a new 800,000-square-foot distribution center near Atlanta, Georgia, the fifth such center it has announced this year. Previously, the company announced that it was opening two distribution centers in Kentucky, one in Kansas and one in Nevada. The new facilities join ones already opened in Seattle and Delaware. The company said in a statement that it plans to have its new centers up and running in time for the holiday shopping season.
