Short Take: AOL suffers brief outage

America Online members were locked out of the online service for 30 to 40 minutes Wednesday, according to AOL spokesman Rich D'Amato. D'Amato attributed the problem to a "software glitch" that AOL detected at 1:40 p.m. PT. New people could not log on while AOL fixed the problem, D'Amato said.

AOL says off line 30 to 40 minutes. I was off all day, on only a little bit finally last night and off all day today. Does any one know how long this is going to go on. Can not receive or send e-mail.
