Short Take: Dynalog Technologies announces Cognet software management tool

Dynalog Technologies, a Valhalla, New York-based network consultant and integrator, will release a new software distribution and desktop management software tool tomorrow for Microsoft Windows 95 and NT layouts called Cognet. The product, sold in blocks of 25 seats, can cost as little as $8 per seat for a 1,000 PC network. Cognet includes a feature that detects changes to a desktop's environment and also adds rules-based software functionality that verifies that an inventory of a particular machine is complete. It compares favorably to corporate desktop policies.
