Short: Sharp to make desktops

Sharp will reportedly enter the desktop computer market next spring, expanding their PC production beyond notebooks for the first time. The computers will use liquid crystal displays and will be equipped with DVD-ROM drives, according to the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, a leading Japanese business daily. The computers will be aimed at the home market.
