Shockwave coming to OS X

Software maker Macromedia has announced that a new version of its Shockwave media player written for Apple Computer's Mac OS X operating system will come out later this month.

The company also announced the immediate availability of an update to Macromedia Director Shockwave Studio, the main software package for creating games, educational tools and other content in the Shockwave format. The update adds Microsoft Windows XP compatibility and graphics enhancements.
