Senate postpones vote on file-swapping bill

In what appears to be a reaction to last-minute pressure from opponents of a file-swapping bill, a U.S. Senate committee postponed a vote scheduled for Thursday.

The Induce Act, which was scheduled for a markup in the Senate Judiciary committee, is touted as a way to ban file-swapping networks such as Kazaa and Morpheus--but a host of technology companies fear it would imperil legitimate products as well.
