Seagate releases external drive
The push-button backup system uses BounceBack Express software. For the first backup, the system makes a copy of the person's internal drive. To speed the process, subsequent backups only copy changes made to that drive's content, according to Seagate. Other features include an on-off switch, the ability to plug into a computer without turning the computer off and the ability to position the drive horizontally or vertically. Seagate rival Maxtor also has a line of external drives that feature the ability to launch a backup with the touch of a button.
