Here in Arizona
ASU also does loads of free/low-cost public events. I get a list of them every month, via the local Mensa arranger. I'm looking forward to "Shake, Rattle, and Roll: How to Trigger Earthquakes with Seismic Waves" and "Brilliant Science, Dark Politics, Uncertain Law".

It's amazing what's available, when you look :-)
Then outside these events, there's often music nearby at Tempe Town Lake. And of course, this is ASU in Tempe - there are lots of places to drink ;-)
