School's online for Dreamweaver novices

San Francisco-based software maker Macromedia launched a Web site for beginning users of its Dreamweaver MX Web authoring software. The Dreamweaver MX Evaluation Resource Center offers five-minute instructional videos, an interactive feature tour, written tutorials, and other training materials.

Macromedia, which competes with Adobe's GoLive application for the high-end Web authoring market while Microsoft dominates the low end with its FrontPage software, also said it would "soon" launch free Dreamweaver MX online training from its eLearning Web site.
