exactly a bad idea. There are plenty of MP3 sources out there to be
tapped for any MP3 player, iPod included. But, I can't get excited
about any Windows Media support. I find QuickTIme and iTunes on
my PC laptop to be much better.
So as I see it, 70+ percent of the people paying for music today (aka iTunes/iPod users) won't want/need/or be able to use songs in WMA format. That makes for a pretty big uphill battle. The fact that a ton of knowledgeable people won't touch WMA with a 10' pole won't help.
Better bring enough venture capital to last as long as you want your new company to live.
