A bit late to dinner...
.... and all that's left are scraps. Still, another MP3 player is not
exactly a bad idea. There are plenty of MP3 sources out there to be
tapped for any MP3 player, iPod included. But, I can't get excited
about any Windows Media support. I find QuickTIme and iTunes on
my PC laptop to be much better.

What format for their tunes?
Samsung is calling their hardware mp3 players, but are these iTunes rivals planning to offer mp3 files? My bet is they will only offer WMAs, the same as every other iTunes wannabe.

So as I see it, 70+ percent of the people paying for music today (aka iTunes/iPod users) won't want/need/or be able to use songs in WMA format. That makes for a pretty big uphill battle. The fact that a ton of knowledgeable people won't touch WMA with a 10' pole won't help.

Better bring enough venture capital to last as long as you want your new company to live.
