Salary spelled out for Gateway's interim CEO

Gateway's interim CEO Rick Synder on Wednesday entered into an employment contract with the PC maker that calls for an annual base salary of $500,000, according to Gateway's filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Synder, who was named interim CEO in February following the resignation of Wayne Inouye, will also receive 600,000 stock options under the company's equity incentive plan. Synder, however, will not be eligible to participate in the company's bonus plan.
