- No churn?

- Somebody from SBC was quoted that there is "no churn" with their DSL subscribers. I may be in the minority, but I definitely "churned". I took DSL service while I was in a temporary apartment, and had no problems with download speeds. When we bought a house and transferred our service, our D/L speed dropped from a guaranteed 1+Meg to about 150K. They forgot to mention that my new house was too far from the CO to get better than 192K D/L speeds, so I dropped SBC, held my nose and switched to Comcast Cable Internet service. It costs twice as much, but I get 3+Meg D/L speeds.

DSL will never have the traction cable has until they can provide competitive speeds to all their prospective customers.
