S2io hooks up to $18 million

S2io announced Monday it raised an $18 million second round of funding, led by Menlo Ventures. Previous investors VenGrowth Capital Partners and Business Development Bank of Canada also contributed to the round. The Cupertino, Calif.-based company has raised a total of $27 million. S2io is developing Ethernet connectivity technology to transfer data at 10 gigabits per second.
