Responsys secures $20 million

Responsys, an interactive marketing technology company, will announce this week that it has raised $20 million in funding led by Sigma Partners. Responsys, whose clients include Miller Brewing, Playboy.com, Lands' End and CNN/Sports Illustrated, runs subscription-based interactive marketing software that lets Internet operations manage targeted promotional campaigns. Last year, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company raised $22.5 million from Redpoint Ventures, Accel Partners and Foundation Capital--all of which participated in the company's recent round of funding.
