Were these Windows systems?

I think an appropriate place to start is looking into the security
inherent in the system they were using. Was it Apache? I doubt it.
I think the long road MS Windows has been raveling with regard to
faulty security may soon come back to bite them if it is shown that
such losses are the result of an inherently insecure piece of swiss
cheese.
