Red Hat has named Timothy Yeaton as senior vice president of marketing, the top Linux seller said on Tuesday.
Yeaton most recently was president and chief executive of software maker Avaki and before that was senior vice president of Macromedia server software. Earlier, he served as general manager of Compaq's Unix and Linux systems business.
